Who we are

JainRunners_smTo help clarify the name of this blog, Jain is used not as a girls name but as in Jainism, the path of non-violence towards all living beings. We are a couple that loves nature and being active in our native central Pennsylvania. This blog came about when on an early morning jog we joked about how amazingly long it might take us to run a marathon if it was a day with a warm rain and the worms came out to crawl in front of us.

We have lived over a quarter of a century as vegetarians who strive for peaceful existences. We try to have an inclusive, non-violent approach to all we do in our lives and sometimes that means taking much longer to accomplish things, including running, than if we didn’t care.

We like hiking, running, geocaching, letterboxing, cooking vegan food and visiting family and friends. We are both artists and our favorite projects are ones we tackle together and have been infused with our quirky humor.

  3. Hey T!

I have nominated you for a Liebster Award. I have no idea who Liebster is, but it’s like a giant chain letter. It’s for bloggers to nominate other blogs they enjoy reading that have a small following. Plus, voila! Easy blog post topic.

Anyway, for the questions I was required to ask you and the list of rules, you can see my blog post where I have nominated you here at http://www.seenancyrun.wordpress.com

    Thanks!
    Nancy
